Attitudes towards gambling have always been mixed however online gaming proves more popular every year and the industry is growing at an extraordinary rate.
The negative affect is that an increasing number of people become addicted to gambling yearly. Who should take responsibility for addicted gambling, and where does this leave the industry?

Online gaming companies are beginning to see the potential in updating and prioritising their provision with regards to responsible gaming. Most sites now display links to Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare and/or other support services. The value of working with specialists to help train staff and raise awareness is also being recognised.

The way forward can only be described as onwards and upwards. It is only recently that real research in the area of problem gaming has been funded, and as over 55% of gamblers surveyed by eCogra recently pointed out, much more research is required.
